ABOUT OUR CAUSE
The Daniel K. Wepryk Foundation was established in August 2017 to honor his life and memory. The foundation focuses on raising awareness of opioid addiction, educating our youth about the perils of drug use and enacting prevention programs in our community.
The foundation also created a scholarship program at Downingtown East High School, which will provide tuition assistance for a graduating senior lacrosse player who demonstrates COURAGE, STRENGTH AND HOPE. These three pillars are important to our foundation because they represent the qualities that Danny lived every day of his young life.
As a young man in recovery, Danny relied on COURAGE, STRENGTH AND HOPE to get through each day. The foundation will have the COURAGE to talk about opioid addiction, the STRENGTH to help those in need and the HOPE that we can impact others in our community. Our goal is to be a resource for our community and provide financial assistance where needed.
